About the Grills
A & J Stöckli AG of Netstal in Switzerland, were the first to build a Raclette "oven" in 1971. Prior to this Raclette cheese was typically heated in its block form, and the melted edge scrapped off (Raclette comes from the French "racler" meaning to scrape).
Over the years Stöckli have expanded their models and added the Pizza Grill range incorporating an additional lower element for the baking of mini pizzas. Stöckli are the only manufacturer of this type of grill, which is so much more versatile than a strictly Raclette grill with its upper heating element only.
The Swiss Connection Ltd has exclusive rights to import Stöckli Raclette and Pizza Grills into New Zealand.
